Nina Wang is a Canadian pianist, collaborative artist, and educator. She began her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance at the University of British Columbia in 2023 under the guidance of Dr. David Fung, and has studied collaborative piano and chamber music with Professor Rena Sharon and Dr. Wayne Weng. She obtained her ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance in 2019 and has performed across North America as both a solo and collaborative artist.

Nina’s artistic development has been shaped by programs including the Banff Chamber Music Residency, Orford Academy of Music, and Anchorage Chamber Music Festival, as well as masterclasses with distinguished musicians including Janina Fialkowska and Sara Davis Buechner. Her recognitions include the 2026 Tony Roper Diversity in Programming Award from the Vancouver WestCoast Music Society and First Place in the Senior Canadian Composers Category at the 2022 Performing Arts BC Provincial Festival.

Beyond performance, Nina is devoted to making classical music more accessible. Through community outreach initiatives and intimate recital formats, she strives to bring meaningful concert experiences to audiences who may not have access to traditional venues. She is also passionate about interdisciplinary presentations of music, exploring ways to bring together music, poetry, storytelling, and other artistic forms within the recital setting. As an educator, Nina is currently a faculty member at the BC Conservatory of Music, where she is committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a lasting appreciation for music in her students. She is also committed to exploring repertoire from all eras, seeking connections between works across different historical periods and bringing both familiar and lesser-known music into conversation with one another.

As a performer, educator, collaborator, and emerging arts coordinator, Nina seeks to foster lasting connections through music and inspire listeners of all ages.
