Mina mckenzie, piano

Mina McKenzie began studying piano at the age of 5 at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music. Since then, she has developed a great passion for music and performing.

In 2019, Mina received 1st Place at the Pacific Youth Piano Festival and 1st Place in the Yarilo Contemporary Music Society Scholarship Competition. Additionally, she has been an award recipient of the BC Performing Arts Provincial Festival, the BC Art’s Council, and the 27th Bjorn & Lori Hareid Annual Senior Secondary Competition. She has performed as a soloist with the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra and the Coquitlam Youth Orchestra. 

 She has competed and received top prizes in local music festivals such as the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival, the KPU International Music Festival, the British Columbia Conservatory of Music Festival, the Richmond Music Festival, and the CDMF Performing Arts Festival. She won First Place in the VWMS 2019-2020 Scholarship Competition. In addition, she has competed internationally and was a semi-finalist at the Seattle International Piano Competition and a finalist in the Vancouver International Music Competition. She has studied piano with Susan Ouyang and Dr. Henri-Paul Sicsic, and is currently pursuing her Bachelors in Piano Performance under Dr. Corey Hamm at the University of British Columbia.

 Mina also has a passion for volunteering and sharing her love of music with her community. She assisted with the Dr. Mary Anne Cooper documentary film by playing live music during a fundraising dinner, and performed music and taught in a senior recreational center in Coquitlam.

JACK CAMPBELL

Jack Campbell is a Vancouver-based composer, violinist, guitarist, and arts administrator. He is the Music and Concert Production Consultant at the Vancouver Art Gallery. His collaborators include: the Vancouver Art Gallery, Chali-Rosso Art Gallery, BC Canadian Music Centre, 100.5 FM Radio, and Vancouver Pro Musica. An avid contemporary music violinist, he works frequently as a commissioner of new music compositions, soloist, chamber musician, and recitalist.

DANIEL KETTER

Daniel Ketter is a second year Clarinet performance major at the School of Music at the University of British Columbia. In 2020, Daniel was the principal clarinetist for both the New Jersey All-State High School Band. He was also a member of the New York Youth Symphony Chamber Ensemble, participated in the Interlochen Online program, and was a young artist at the Tanglewood Music Festival. He currently studies with Jose Franch-Ballester and plans on becoming a professional performer and teacher.
